Metec Consulting Engineers recently acted as M&E #Design Consultants Consultants on the new 220,000 sqft #Indeed HQ, spanning Building 100 and 300 Capital Dock, Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2. Customer Centre for Irish Life

Metec Consulting Engineers recently acted as M&E #Design and Energy Modelling Consultants on a new 58,000 sqft Customer Centre for Irish Life in Dundalk, Co. Louth.

We would like to highlight and pay special thanks to our client Irish Life, the collaborative approach adopted by the design team and the quality work from the contracting team in achieving the following prestigious #sustainability achievements:

  • Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) compliance.
  • A3 Building Energy Rating which places this project in the top 1% of energy efficient office buildings in Ireland.
  • LEED BD+C: New Construction Gold Rating.

Well Being Day

To mark National Workplace Wellbeing Day 2020 last Friday, Metec Consulting Engineers have decided to have our very own #teammetec Wellbeing Month. This will include a host of fun activities, challenges, #wellbeing content, podcasts, a charity event, grow/bake your own and children's activities for all our colleagues and families to get involved in during the month of May. The first challenge is the #teammetec Ice Bucket Charity Challenge which kicked off yesterday. Each of our colleagues is donating at least €5 to their chosen charity. Some great videos and pictures coming in already.

Our #teammetec colleagues decided to ditch the lounge wear for a day and get dolled up for the Today FM #formalfriday We had great fun last Friday on our coffee break call. Valerie was reminiscing in her wedding dress 👰🏼, Liam & Maurice battled it out for the best bow tie 🤵🏻 and everyone else was looking dapper. The #formalfriday campaign is raising funds to support those working on the COVID-19 front line including:

East Coast Coffee Morning

The annual East Coast Coffee Morning took place on Friday the 12th April 2019 and Metec took part for the 4th consecutive year. The coffee morning is to raise money for the 7 Cancer Support Centres across Wicklow and The Wicklow Hospice. Thank you to everyone who helped out and baked cakes for the event. The coffee morning was a great success and we had a great turnout. We managed to raise a total of €410 for the 7 Cancer Support Centres across Wicklow and The Wicklow Hospice. It is a wonderful achievement and is very much appreciated.

Well done to the Metec crew for donating 13 boxes and 2 bags of extra necessities in aid of Inner City Helping Homeless Shoebox appeal. Michelle & Orlagh received a warm welcome from the volunteers and beneficiaries at Connelly Station on delivery. Special thanks so everyone who donated and got involved in this worthwhile project.

Proud to Support Bray Emmets

Metec are very proud to sponsor and support Bray Emmets GAA club in Bray, Co. Wicklow. Bray Emmets' is a club rich in history can be traced back to 11th December 1886 when the club's first Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place. Today Bray Emmets represents more than 1500 members from a Juniors Academy, Juvenile Girls and Boys and the Senior Womens and Mens teams for both Hurling and Football.

Metec participated in the Supporting Proud Triathlon in aid of St. Catherine’s association. Metec raised a total of €745 which is a fantastic achievement and will help this great organisation in their provision of services for children with intellectual disabilities.
